Learning German one-on-one

Customized training for individual needs and expectations sets the context for success in learning German. I support my clients to achieve their learning goals by providing a variety of individualized learning approaches and training material.  This typically includes role playing, practice with audio and video material, writing, and always a lot of speaking.  Because the training is always customized to the client's interests, the result is an engaging, interactive learning process.

Learning German through speaking

Discussion in German is the center of the training. This discussion is accompanied by sequential practice and explanation of meanings, grammar and context. Throughout the lessons, I carefully note the vocabulary, grammar and expressions that the student wants to use appropriately.  This is later compiled into a customized training document that can be used practically in daily situations, or as the basis for further practice. 

Learning German in an intercultural context

The training encompasses German ideas and cultural standards in comparison to those of the client's home country.  This allows for a deeper immersion in the German language and underlying culture through dialog that highlights the differences and commonalities.
